Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with the ability and confidence to manage a collaborative project with The University of Manchester and Let's Play Everywhere Ltd.

The University of Manchester and Let's Play Everywhere Ltd. are looking to recruit a 2D Materials Development Engineer to undertake this 33 month project which has an overall aim of developing high-grip and hard-wearing surface coatings based on graphene reinforced polymers.

The position will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to combine state of the art developments in 2-dimensional materials such as graphene and its derivatives with innovative polymer formulation and coating technologies to create high-grip and hard-wearing surface coatings, with potential further career opportunities at Let's Play Everywhere Ltd.

Candidates will require a post-graduate degree or equivalent industrial experience, and an undergraduate degree with a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields of study.

This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry .

Based at Let's Play Everywhere Ltd. located in Nelson, Lancs, the successful candidate will work directly with supervisors from both the University and Let's Play Everywhere Ltd. and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations .
